It's convenient as we know them so it's easy to get things done. It's helped us get machines in that have helped us grow.
The only person I've had any dealings with is Pauline and she's been very helpful. She's quite a lateral thinker and came up with some good ideas on promotions and contacts and things. They worked with a waste company that we were doing the installation for, so they actually paid us most of the money direct rather than via the customer which benefited us. We were able to talk directly to them so we could sort out the state of play from a cash flow point of view. We've subsequently done some finance for one of our JCB diggers and ultimately had a meeting in our office with our marketing dept who explore potential working relationships. Pauline has also mentioned one or two customers that might be interested in some of our services.
I like their personal touch. They tailor things in accordance with us in more of a personal manner than corporate manner.
Paul was really really quick at responding. It allowed us to buy a massive machine to outmanoeuvre our competition. You've got to invest because everything is based on efficiency these days.
Arkle Finance are personal and fast. We've been using them for about a year. Compared to other lenders we've used in the past they are much better because we can speak to them.
I contacted them, I put the details to them and I just left it to them. There were no questions coming back to me. They basically dealt with everything off the sheet that I'd put in. What I asked of them they provided with minimum fuss and no agro.
Arkle Finance are small enough to deal with in terms of getting business through and dealing with any issues. They are very easy to deal with. Arkle Finance are a lot more open to helping us expand our business. We have some mainline funders who are only interested in top line funding, but Arkle Finance are really flexible and willing to look at any opportunity.
They're very quick. You get approval on our finance within 24 hours. We use them to finance our IT equipment. It's given us a bit more flexibility on our own cash not having to shell out £10,000 on equipment. We've been working with them for about a year.
Arkle Finance have a positive approach. They got on with it and did it quite quickly so I was impressed with that. It's early days yet but it's given me a chance to invest, and in the long term save some money as well. I've used them as a business for the first time but privately used them myself for a vehicle in the past. They compare positively to other finance firms I've used in the past.
I had a previous contact that worked for another bank who introduced himself to say that he'd moved on, so it was the person more than Arkle initially. That said, they're local, quick on reply and response and have been quite friendly on the couple of enquiries I had. I found them easy to deal with. We've only done one transaction with them but they've been quite clear on how they've laid the proposal out, and it was quite smooth for us as well in terms of getting the money paid to the supplier. Just generally efficient. There was good communication between them and us, better than previous lenders. Jay Lucas was great. He was particularly helpful and very professional in dealing with our enquiry to begin with and through to completion. It was a new machine that we needed, and rather than buying outright we chose to use Arkle.
