Updated 12th May 2023: Our new infographic explains what aircraft mortgage is in visual form!

What is an aircraft mortgage, how does it work, and how can Arkle Finance help you to fund a new aircraft?

Whether you are looking to fund an aircraft for personal or business use, or looking to maintain and upgrade your existing craft, our aviation finance is the ideal solution.

Arkle can offer the facility for advances to be used to fund a variety of aviation needs, including:

  • the purchase of an aircraft
  • refinancing your current aircraft
  • releasing equity from your current aircraft
  • maintenance and upgrades to your current aircraft

With us, you can spread the cost up to a maximum of seven years and Arkle takes security in the form of a mortgage on the aircraft. If required, we are able to consider requests for repayments to vary in line with a seasonal income.

We are currently able to support G and 2 Registered aircraft, for UK-based individuals and companies.

Here are some of the areas within the aviation sector where Arkle could offer you help:

  • Helicopters
  • Light aircraft
  • Autogyros
  • Microlights
  • Gliders
  • Commercial drones
  • Hot air balloons
  • Simulators
  • Avionics/upgrades
  • Maintenance/overhauls

How Does Our Process Work?

At Arkle, we follow five simple steps to get you the aircraft financing you need:

1. Contact us to discuss your requirements

Whether you’re purchasing a new or used aircraft, refinancing one you already own or need support within the aviation world, our specialist team can talk through your needs.

2. Get a quotation

With some details about the aircraft or equipment, we’ll be able to structure a suitable quotation for you or your business.

3. Make an application

Once we have all the relevant information, we aim to get most applications assessed within 48 hours.

4. Get approval and start the agreement

Approved applications are valid for up to 90 days, giving you time to check the aircraft, where required, and once the documentation has been completed, we can advance the funds to you or the seller and the agreement can commence.

5. Begin payments and enjoy your aircraft

You pay a fixed number of loan repayments along with fixed interest charges, over a fixed period of time, with no early settlement charges.
